Part of our stack. We choose the right tools for each project, not the other way around.
Next.js is a React framework for web applications. We use it when a project calls for more interaction, more data or more customisation than our no-code stack can handle. It delivers fast, secure applications without limits, hosted on Vercel, alongside a Webflow site in the same brand style.
A framework built on top of React that takes care of routing, server-side rendering, API routes and optimisation. You write components, and Next.js turns them into an application that loads quickly and is easy to index. It is the standard for serious React applications.
Dashboards with lots of data per screen, comparison tools and configurators, document generators, and portals with complex permissions or bulk editing. The Mitsubishi Data Manager, in which the team manages hundreds of engine types, generates spec sheets and publishes to Webflow, is built in Next.js. So are our own tools, such as the bulk editor for Webflow CMS.
Webflow for the public site, Next.js for the application behind it, often on a subdomain. Data from Xano, Airtable or a dedicated database. Hosting on Vercel. Integration with Webflow via the Data API.
For a portal that mainly displays data and processes forms, Wized is faster and cheaper. Next.js pays off as soon as the interface needs to feel like software.
