Build an asset library

All your images, logos, and documents in one place. Searchable, with user-specific permissions, and always the latest version.

No one knows which of the four versions is the right one, and the correct file is on the laptop of a colleague who is on vacation.

Does this sound familiar?

Tell me what isn't working or what's taking up too much of your time, and I'll let you know what I would do and roughly what it would cost. You'll be speaking directly to me, not an account manager.

An asset library puts all your images, logos, videos, and documents in one place, searchable and with the right permissions for each user. Primarily for your own team. If you also want to share the same material externally with dealers, partners, and agencies, it becomes a marketing portal.

When you need this

Files are scattered across email inboxes, shared drives, and the laptop of a colleague who is on vacation. No one knows which of the four versions is the right one. A new colleague asks three times a week where to find something. Your photographer delivers files, and they disappear into a folder named with a date. A shared drive doesn't solve this, as it lacks a search function and permission controls.

What's inside

Upload directly from your browser, with automatic image optimization and variants in the formats you need. Folders, tags, and search by name, type, or campaign. Permissions per user or group. Version control, so old versions don't accidentally resurface. Download links for external parties without an account. And a log of who downloaded what.

Powered by

Uploadcare for storage, uploads, and image processing. Wized and Xano for login, permissions, and management. Webflow for an interface in your brand style. If you already have a DAM system, we build on top of it rather than alongside it.

Our approach

First, the structure: who uses it, what are they looking for, and how is the material currently organized? Then, the smallest version that solves those needs, populated with your existing material. After that, we expand based on what users actually do, not based on what a software package happens to be capable of.

Costs and timeline

The build is a fixed price, typically four to six weeks of work. In addition, you pay for storage and traffic to Uploadcare, depending on the volume of your assets.

Who it's not for

If you work with a small team and a limited amount of material, a shared drive with clear agreements is sufficient. An asset library pays off if searching currently takes up time or if not everyone should have access to everything.

Questions about

Asset library

How much does an asset library cost?

The build is a fixed price, usually four to six weeks of work. On top of that, you pay Uploadcare for storage and traffic, depending on the amount of material.

How much material can an asset library hold?

An asset library has no practical limit. Storage at Uploadcare scales with the amount of material, and so do the costs.

Can dealers upload material to the asset library themselves?

Yes, dealers can upload material themselves, with an approval step if you want one. You decide what becomes visible in the asset library.

What is the difference between an asset library and Dropbox or Google Drive?

A drive stores. An asset library organizes, secures per user, optimizes images, and shows who uses what.

Can an asset library be connected to our website?

Yes. Material from the library can appear directly on the site or in a dealer portal. See dealer portals.
