Performance optimization

Performance optimization makes a slow site fast again. Sites slow down over time: a new script is added, images get larger, an embed hangs, or an animation does too much. We measure where the time is being lost and tackle the biggest wins first. Measurable results, before and after.

When you need this

Google Search Console is reporting Core Web Vitals issues. Visitors are leaving before the page finishes loading. The site feels sluggish on mobile. Over time, you’ve added tools—chat, analytics, video—without checking the performance cost. Or, you simply want to know how your site is performing.

What we do

We measure using Lighthouse and real user data from Search Console. Then, we tackle the biggest wins first. Images: correct format, modern compression, and lazy loading. Scripts: load only when needed, defer non-urgent tasks, and remove unused code. Fonts: non-blocking, loading only the weights the site uses. Animations: offloaded to the GPU, not the main thread. Embeds: videos and maps loaded only upon interaction. And structure: leaner DOM and CSS.

Our approach

We start with a baseline measurement for each page type, provide a list of planned adjustments and their expected impact, implement the changes, and then perform a follow-up measurement. We test on staging and only go live once the performance gains are confirmed. For Webflow sites, we also review the build structure, as that is often a factor in site speed.

What you get

A report showing before-and-after results, a list of what was adjusted and why, and advice on how to maintain performance—such as avoiding oversized image uploads and measuring the impact of new scripts before adding them. This is usually part of a continuous development subscription.

Costs and timeline

The initial measurement determines the scope. You then receive a fixed price for the list of adjustments. This is typically covered under a continuous development subscription.

When it's not for you

If the slowness is caused by the platform or hosting rather than the site itself, optimization won't help much, and migrating is the better investment. This will be clear from the initial measurement.

During the migration of Immerse Education PageSpeed medians increased and CLS dropped to zero. External scripts there only load upon the first interaction, without losing any integrations.
