Visual design for websites

From wireframe to a design that fits your brand. Color, typography, imagery, and shape, developed into a design system that we use to build.

Your brand identity was originally created for print and lacks everything a screen requires: buttons, forms, error messages, and a font that remains legible on a phone.

Does this sound familiar?

Tell me what isn't working or what's taking up too much of your time, and I'll let you know what I would do and roughly what it would cost. You'll be speaking directly to me, not an account manager.

Visual design turns a wireframe into a site that is uniquely yours. Logo, color, typography, visual language, and design elements form the toolkit. We translate these into screens that persuade, work on any device, and can be built without any surprises.

When you need this

You have a brand identity on paper, but not yet for the screen. Your site looks dated, even though your company isn't. You want the site to be recognizably the same brand as your brochures, your office, and your presentations. Or perhaps your brand identity was originally created for print and lacks the components a website requires.

What we design

The most important pages fully developed for desktop and mobile. Then, a design system: buttons, cards, headings, spacing, forms, colors, and their application. We use this to build the rest of the site, ensuring everything stays consistent when you add pages later. Visual language: which photography, which illustrations, and which motion styles fit the brand.

How we work

In Figma, where you can watch live and provide feedback. Two rounds of feedback are standard, with more if needed. We design with real content whenever available, so the design matches reality rather than just placeholder text. The build in Webflow uses the exact same components.

What you get

Designs for desktop and mobile, a style guide, and the source files in Figma. Everything belongs to you, even if you decide to build elsewhere later.

What it costs and how long it takes

Visual design is usually part of a website project and is included in its fixed price. The scope depends on the number of unique page types, not the total number of pages: ten pages based on one template is less work than four pages that are each unique.

Who this is not for

If you don't have a logo or brand identity yet, we recommend starting with one of our partners. We do not design logos. We translate an existing brand identity to the screen and fill in the gaps where necessary.

The preceding step: wireframe design. The complete picture: web design. Your brand identity available online for others: brand management systems.

The visual design for desktop and mobile is made in Figma, including the design system we later build in Webflow.

Questions about

Visual design

How much does visual design cost?

Visual design is part of the project price. On its own, it is a fixed price, depending on the number of unique pages and whether a brand identity already exists.

How long does the visual design of a website take?

Two to three weeks for an average site, including feedback rounds. You follow along live in Figma, so feedback is processed quickly.

What if we don't have a brand identity yet?

Then we bring in one of our partners for the brand and visual identity. We are involved from the start, so the identity works for the web right away and the site design aligns with it.

Can we have the visual design built elsewhere?

Yes. The design files are yours and contain everything a developer needs to build the site.

Do you also design dark mode or multiple themes?

If it suits the brand. This site, for example, has light and dark pages with a navigation that switches along.
